I rent from a variety of National locations due to work travel.
Edit: got the call from the branch manager shortly after posting this, and he will reverse both charges.
I rent with a corporate code where the full liability coverage is included in the rate. I was charged for each day as well as charged for premium car when I rented a full sized vehicle. I'm a Emerald Executive member where a guaranteed upgrade is one of my benefits. I reserved for a mid sized vehicle for the typical benefit I get from any other Aisle or Counter locations, but this location makes its own rule. I'm working with the National Car customer service to rectify the issue, but they're having trouble reaching out to the branch manager for a week now.
I asked to talk to the manager for three times, and he didn't care to call me back.
All in all, if you ran into some issues, don't expect them to be of any help. All they care about is the money, not the costumer's consent.
Great service and helpful staff. We drove a very comfortable and new car from Wichita to Denver. Great value for money.
Wichita staff does a pretty good job. Ok vehicle selection but not great.
Couldn't careless about costumers. I booked a car with Alamo and one with National (apparently these two have got shared front-desk!!!) and I asked for the national reservation (I presented the print-out!!!). The front-desk lady gave me the Alamo one while there were some changes that I had no idea of, because I was thinking she is going with the right reservation. In the end they charged me 70$ extra without any solid explanation. Worst than that, they didn't tell me about surcharges in the beginning.
I rent a car on average 130 days per year from National, and this location is by far the worst in service I have ever experienced. This is a franchise location, so that might be some of it. I asked for the prepayed gas option, they failed to enter it into the agreement and proceeded to charge me $75 for fuel instead of $30. When called they told me too bad. Now they can obviously see my rental history and resolve the issue, but didn't. I called National corporate and they were able to offer a partial refund.
