I had to put my cat down. They were not only the cheapest but the nicest office I could imagine. Super people and very compassionate vet. It was a hard day but they made it a little easier
Switched to Arapahoe after going to Sweetbrier veterinary for 15 yrs!! Don't care for new vet since Dr Bufford retired. Arapahoe Vet Clinic employees are good to you a d very helpful!! Dr.Scagg is the best!!
The vets are the best in Wichita. I wouldn't take my animal's to different clinic . I love the fact they are a walk in clinic.
We have taken our family's dogs to Arapahoe for decades and I've always felt good about our experience. They get you in quickly, even without an appointment and I appreciate that they are open until 5:30. They have provided compassionate care while also taking our finances into consideration. Dr. Skaggs does an excellent job of explaining everything, from showing diagrams and demonstrating how to get their ears really clean to showing me the x-ray and explaining my dog's congestive heart failure and treatment options. He was gentle and kind when it was time to put our sick little dog down. I will continue to trust our family pets to their care.
I've used Doc Mahoney since he opened his first clinic at the corner of Pawnee & Seneca, around 1983 to 1986. At that time he had one assistant (Penny). Since that time he's taken care of all our dogs, five all total. Two are still currently his 'patients', one is 14 1/2 yrs old and the other is 4 1/2. He also took care of my cat from 1986 until 2002. He had a urinary tract problem around 1989/90 and Doc recommended the proper food for him which I kept him on & he was happy & healthy until his demise in 2002. Highly recommend Arapahoe for continued care of all fur babies!
