There were a few miscommunications between me and the doctors but the nurses and doctors answered all of my questions and were more than helpful. I couldn't have been more thankful for the experience that I had.
First of all, I only gave it one star because I didn't see a no star option. This is by far, the worst hell I have ever been through in an emergency room. I was treated worse than the lowest life form, throughout my entire visit, and am now forced to go somewhere else, to get a second opinion. I went in after I tripped over something in the dark, and landed on the floor with most of my weight, on my chest. I went in with severe pain to my ribs, pretty much figuring, I had broken them. Well, I was treated horribly by everyone, never even saw a dr. The X-rays confirmed I had 2 broken ribs. Was finally given the smallest possible pains melds, and was shoved out the door without my questions being answered adequately. Worst hospital EVER, will never go back, even if I am dying in the street next to the place.
My girlfriend had a Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy (Removal of Gallbladder using laparoscopic techniques). From emergency care unit and surgery department to the Ward 5 staff took care of her very good. Waiting area for family members in the surgery unit had displays showing status of the surgery. Our caregivers were very nice and helpful. I felt like they gave undivided attention to each patient. The hospital is going through some major renovations these days, so you could easily get lost or take time to find the place you’re looking for. The cafe ‘Down Under’ in lower level has a fantastic menu. They serve breakfast all day and there’s a Starbucks inside the cafe as well.
I went to the ER at this hospital for acute pain in my ovaries during pregnancy. I was very sick, and very scared of an ectopic pregnancy. When I first got there I pushed the button once so the nurse or aide could help me tie my gown. About 2 hours later I pressed the button once again to see if they could bring me something for nausea. Every time I would press the button they kept turning it off. About an hour later I finally got someone's attentions by going to the door and waving down help. When the nurse finally came in to see me I told her that I could not contact her, and the call button was not working. She proceeded to tell me "oh honey, they kept switching it off because I had nothing to tell you, your test results aren't back yet." I was very upset to the point of tears. It was not a good er experience.
Catholics left me sitting in the hallway to die after being brutaly almost beat to death by SCSO Officials who work corrections at the SCDF facility holloween 2013.
