awful, terrible, no one listens to concerns, short staffed, quality of care is totally absent, place is full of germs, total disconnect from Via Christi/St Francis, lots of promises but absolutely no follow through even when challenged on things, wouldn't wish this place on anyone. is it possible to give negative stars????
From day one it was a struggle! We were told my dad would have PT, OT, ST DAILY!! It never happened. When asked about these services we were told " We dont do that here." . They said that they specialized in RT only. Then why do they have only 1 respiratory therapist to take care of 30+ patients? We were there from Feb. 13 to May 31,2017. In that time we had to go thru 4 different D.O.N's. We never knew who was in charge or who to go to with questions. We had to ask daily who was in charge. Unbelievable !!!! It was very difficult to get questions answered by staff. It was always" I will find out for you." Guess what....no response for hours. We could not wait to get out. When we were finally transferred to another location his discharge papers stated he was in restraints...NOPE!! It stated he had IV's.....NOPE AGAIN!!! The staff at our new facility said they hated getting paperwork from this place because it was usually wrong. How sad for this to happen to not only my family but the many other patients who have had to go thru this. We visited with several other families here who had the same problems. I wish we could give negative stars!!!!
These people restrained my 85 year old mother in 2016 per pictures. No one wants to investigate because of bad marks against Kansas. Go to my Facebook page and see pictures of other nursing homes. There is a Nursing Home Crisis in Kansas and everywhere. We have to make changes!!!
My mother was railroaded into moving my dad to this terrible place. One doctor who is never there. Not enough nurses or aides. Overnight oxygen turned up, patients drugged and chest tubes and feeding tubes "mysteriously" fall out. The sling they used in the middle of the night to weigh patients broke and dropped my dad! He also caught MRSA there and is still battling it now but thankfully at home. This place is your WORST nightmare. We had to stay with my dad 24 hrs his last couple days to make sure he wasn't drugged with Narco and Seroquel (drug used in schizophrenia but is also used off label in elderly as a sleep aid). We told them my dad reacted poorly to pain meds and sleep aids but he kept getting them. He was a zombie - couldn't even eat. We were told how lucky he was as very few patients are discharged to home and I am NOT SURPRISED. This place needs to be investigated. I would give a negative 5 stars if possible. And don't fall for their act of being concerned. We filed a complaint when my dad was dropped and a corporate person showed up in her riding boots and talked to us and promised to investigate - never heard back from her -- prob out riding her horses - must be nice. I don't know what their staff do at night but its not work! There were a few standout nurses/aides and PT staff but they were too few to make a difference. I pray for anyone stuck in this place!
Our experience was TERRIBLE! All they do is promise things that are not going to happen. They are short-staffed, no therapy (that was promised), never answer call lights, and gave my husband a bad infection! Do NOT listen to them and do NOT put your loved one in this hospital!
