Previous Comment: I switched to using the VC pharmacy because I had problems with some of my specialty meds at Walgreens and Dillons'. And, while their in-person customer service is usually pretty great, they are lacking in phone customer-service skills. Whoever answers the phone always sounds annoyed that they have to answer the phone - and they take it out on the customer. If I don't have my prescription number it's a huge hassle for them (apparently), even though they're only open when I'm at work and I don't tend to pack every medication I'm on around with me everywhere I go (like a normal person). When you're waiting on insurance approval they won't call you to tell you your prescription's ready - instead you have to call and check on it every few days (seriously?), if you call something in that needs doctor's approval for a refill, you need to do it a couple days before you need it and then call and check on it every day (even if they say it'll be ready). I won't be going back to the previously mentioned pharmacies because it makes my ability to get my medication much less reliable, but it would be nice if doing their job wasn't a giant inconvenience for them and they actually had some modicum of courtesy on the phone.
No long line or anything but close on weekend? Seriously? Weekend is the only time that I can run errands for myself.
Edit: I got a call today about a prescription I've been waiting on, and the person calling was kind and courteous - I'm hoping that my complaints (made through this and another means) were heard and this is a turning point. Gave an extra star for this reason.
There's no me by name and can handle any medication that I want by the next day. It's just like having your local Hometown Pharmacy right at your doctor's office
