Great place to go for a walk, a run, or time with family. Wildlife and nature views are outstanding. Very pleasant place to escape real life for a while.
Very quiet park. Had fall photos taken here and it was a great idea. Lots of beautiful scenes and a pretty pond!
Great for a morning stroll or jog. Will see a deer or 2 if your lucky. Great facility which feature a little museum and a lil quiet library with the greatest view in the winter time
Great place to explore nature trails and small ponds. The Nature Center here is free with live animals, aquarium, and exhibits the kids will enjoy. Fish/duck food is available inside the Nature Center for your hike.
We've been to Great Plains Nature Center twice now. Once for a daytime visit and once for the full moon walk. Both times we've really enjoyed it. The trails are nice, paved with plentiful shade. There's birds to see and hear, fish in the ponds, and other wildlife too if you're lucky enough to catch a glimpse. The full moon walk was spectacular. The guided tour was informative and the scenery was breathtaking. The stargazing at the end was a treat as well!
