Went to Rent-A-Center yesterday got approved for $2,000 only needed $750 worth of credit for what I needed left got in touch with them a couple hours later and got told I need a cosigner for $750 I was amazed and instantly irritated I've touch $750 so many times this year it ain't even funny I didn't even need half of the credit I was approved for and I had already put my first two weeks down these people have my address my social everything but my blood type to say I need a cosigner for $750 is an insult I feel disrespected Rent-A-Center will never have my business they're basically saying I can't afford $100 a month if I didn't go out of the state this week I could have paid them in full but they will never get my business they don't even have enough options to be bougie like that, I see why they only got one
Customer service was very aloof and distant. Yesterday afternoon I walked in and asked if they had a certain bed type frame. Sales two said nope sorry without getting up from a couch on the display floor. Maybe he just knew the inventory w/o looking and what was coming in or refer me to another store that might have it.
First time I went in Manager had a rude attitude. They finally got rid of her but I find the people to be those that are not happy at their job and it comes across the counter. I almost dread going in to pay a bill. I rather pay the extra couple dollars to do it over the phone. I hate that this company and others like them charge double or triple what the items are worth. They are taking advantage of people with little to no credit. I am getting my washer and dryer and then that's it. I quit giving them funds
Staff is very helpful, so glad to have new faces at this store
