The food is better than most fast food, but the service is usually slow even though the restaurant is empty.
Throwback Thursdays they have great taco burgers... They are one of the very few Mexican restaurants where you can get Black Beans.....
Ordered 2 beef taco grande meals and 1 chicken taquitos meal. Left with 1 beef taco grande meal, 1 chicken taquitos meal and 1 beef taquitos meal. Come on!
The service and speed were all right, but the taste of the food was awful. Meat, cheese and sour cream all tasted artificial. The cheese had a barfy aftertaste. Sour cream was tasteless. Barely any meat, and what little there was had a funny texture. Lettuce that was put on was already turning bad. I couldn't finish it... Even the sodapop was just tasteless, colored carbonated water... I don't need to go back.
I like Taco Bueno. Would like it more if they had some actual mild sauce. Their mild is still too hot. They never have enough help either. One older guy works his butt off. I feel bad for him. I would not choose this over Taco Shop though, because of the no mild sauce issue.
